"My husband and I were thrilled to have Anna as a doula at our son's birth. My husband didn't initially understand why we needed a doula, but he was happy to support any decisions I was making about the birth. Afterward he couldn't stop talking about how glad he was to have had Anna there!
Anna was an amazing source of support during my 25 hour labor. She was totally focused on helping me have the labor and delivery that I wanted, according to the birth plan we had already discussed. She had suggestions for several different labor positions that my husband and I didn't learn in our birth class. Anna was happy to jump in wherever she was needed, whether it was coordinating with the nurses or our midwife, or simply running to grab us some food. She gave an excellent massage throughout active labor that was priceless. One of her biggest strengths was being able to give excellent suggestions (and me confidence) without ever getting in the way. That is a gift!
